ALSTAN

GAME PITCH

A 3rd-person action-adventure game in which we take on the role of Alstan, a warrior cursed by the mark of the desert that allows him to control the sand, on a quest for vengeance. All inspired by Amazigh and Touareg cultures in a merciless desert.

WHAT WERE MY ROLE

Team Lead / Project Creator : 

  • Led the project and maintained consistency across all disciplines.

  • Managed teams on artistic, technical, and relational levels to ensure smooth collaboration.

  • Maintained team cohesion and a productive work environment.
     

Lead Game Designer : 

  • Designed the core game mechanics, including the sand control system.

  • Created the 3Cs (Character, Controls, Camera).

  • Developed the combat and parkour systems.

  • Ensured all game design ideas aligned with the original vision.
     

Lead Programmer : 

  • Coded the global structure and architecture of the game.

  • Programmed the 3Cs, parkour system, and combat system (including executions).

  • Developed AI behaviors (NPCs & enemies).

  • Implemented UI, dialogue system, and GitHub setup.

  • Debugged game and version control issues.
     

Sound Designer & Composer : 

  • Composed the main soundtrack (available in "MY MUSIC" section).

  • Created the main theme, cinematic music, boss music, ambient tracks, and combat music.

  • Handled sound design, ensuring audio coherence and player feedback.
     

Project Manager : 

  • Managed team workflows and production pipelines using tools like Excel & ClickUp.

  • Reorganized tasks and priorities based on shifting project needs.
